Common name: Australian Shelduck; Alternative common name: Mountain Duck – Pair with ducklings; male is the larger, bird with a white ring on its neck – Distribution in Australia: Australian endemic species found in Tasmania and all mainland states except in the Northern Territory;  It is a southern species found mostly south of the Tropic of Capricorn.

Common name: Wandering Whistling Duck – Distribution in Australia: tropical areas between Kimberley Region of Western Australia through the Top End of the Northern Territory to north-eastern Queensland – Distribution outside Australia: apart from its northern Australian distribution subspecies arcuata is also found in southern New Guinea; two other subspecies occur further afield through Indonesia to the Philippines.

5 – Mute Swan

Common name: Mute Swan; Alternative common name: White Swan – Male / Cob – Distribution in Australia: INTRODUCED SPECIES originally from Eurasia became established in Perth Region and some towns in the southwest, such as Northam, Coolbelup and Bridgetown in Western Australia and in northern Tasmania; by now likely elsewhere – Distribution outside Australia: northern, central and eastern Europe including the British Isles, through the central Asia to eastern China.
