Spangled Perch

Family Terapontidae - Grunters; Scientific name: Leiopotherapon unicolor; Common name: Spangled Perch – Distribution in Australia: the most widespread Australian freshwater fish inhabiting rivers, lagoons, billabongs and even bores between Greenough River in Midwest Western Australia through the Top End of the Northern Territory through most of Queensland and south to Hunter River in New South Wales inclusive of the drainage systems of the Lake Eyre.
