Common name: Giant Australian Grasshopper; Alternative common name: Giant Valanga  - Adult Grasshopper - Distribution in Australia: Mainly a tropical grasshopper found in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia, northern third of the Northern Territory, eastern half of Queensland and in northernmost New South Wales - Photographed in May in Mount Hart Station in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia - Note: with the female measuring up to 90mm it is the largest Australian grasshopper.
