Common name: Bee Fly – Description: head: frons covered with dense, shining, silvery-white hairs; thorax and scutellum dark brown with short, scattered, appressed black and brown hairs; collar of long, dense beige to light yellow hairs; abdomen dark brown with two prominent, thick white bands and three narrow, ginger-coloured bands near the apex; wings hyaline - Distribution in Australia: Western Australia – Photographed: in November, in Peak Charles National Park north-west of Espernace.
