Common name: Grey-headed Flying-fox; Alternative common names Grey Headed Flying Fox or Fruit Bat – Distribution in Australia: this is an endemic Australian Fruit Bat found from south-eastern Queensland south of Bundaberg, including Fraser, Moreton and North Stradbroke Islands, through eastern New South Wales to Melbourne in Victoria – Photographed in April in Muswellbrook in north-eastern NSW.
