Common name: Mallard; Alternative common name: Greenhead – Drake - Distribution in Australia: INTRODUCED SPECIES – present in and around cities in eastern and western Australia where it frequently interbreeds with the Pacific Black Duck Anas superciliosa  – Distribution outside Australia: Throughout Europe, most of Asia and North America; likely the most numerous and widespread duck in the world.
