Order Passeriformes; Family Zosteropidae (White-eyes); Scientific name: Zosterops lateralis; Common name: Silvereye – Distribution in Australia: In Western Australia from the Tropic of Capricorn south and east then through southern South Australia, throughout Victoria and Tasmania and eastern half of New South Wales to about Cooktown in north-eastern Queensland - Distribution outside Australia: New Zealand, and subtropical Pacific Islands as far north as Fiji.
