Order Passeriformes; Family Meliphagidae (Honeyeaters); Scientific name: Lichenostomus leucotis; Common name: White-eared Honeyeater – Feeding on a Eucalyptus tree sap at a Squirrel Glider feeding station; the sap oozes from a wound incised and maintained, as a food source by Squirrel Gliders - Distribution in Australia: southern Western Australia north to Kalbarri NP, southern South Australia, throughout Victoria to eastern New South Wales and south-eastern Queensland, on and immediately west of Great Dividing Range.
