Common name: Azure Kingfisher - Distribution in Australia: northern and eastern Australia from around Broome in Western Australia, through the Top End of the Northern Territory, through northern and eastern Queensland and eastern New South Wales, throughout most of Victoria and Tasmania to Mount Lofty Ranges and Kangaroo Island in southern South Australia - Distribution outside Australia: lowlands of Papua New Guinea and adjacent islands to Moluccas.
