Common name: Rainbow Bee-eater - Female at the entrance to a burrow, delivering food to the nest - Distribution in Australia: present in all mainland states; absent in the arid centre - Distribution outside Australia: breeds in eastern New Guinea; overwinters throughout Papua New Guinea and eastern Indonesia west to the Wallace zoogeographical line.
