Order Passeriformes; Family Sylviidae (Old World Warblers); Scientific name: Acrocephalus australis; Former scientific name: Acrocephalus stentoreus;

Common name: Australian Reed-warbler; Earlier common name: Clamorous Reed-warbler - Distribution in Australia: present in Tasmania and all mainland states except in the Northern Territory wherever there are reedy swamps; absent in the central and western deserts and on Cape York Peninsula, in northern Queensland – Photographed in August in Herdsman Lake Reserve  in Perth.
