Australian Smelt

Family   Retropinnidae – Southern Smelts; Scientific name: Retropinna semoni; Common name: Australian Smelt – Distribution in Australia: Australian freshwater fish inhabiting slow-flowing and still waters of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia; widespread between Fitzroy River in the northe and Murray River in the west, also find in Lake Eyre drainage system.
