Family Melanotaeniidae – Rainbowfishes; Scientific name: Melanotaenia maccullochi; Common name: McCulloch's Rainbowfish, or McCulloch's  Rainbow Fish – Distribution in Australia: a tropical species with a limited and highly disjunct distribution in the western Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory and Cape York Peninsula in north-eastern Queensland – Also in southern New Guinea.
