Family Eleotridae – Gudgeons; Scientific name: Mogurnda mogurnda; Common name: Northern Trout Gudgeon – Distribution in Australia: a tropical fish widely distributed between the Mitchell River in Kimberley Region of Western Australia through the Top End of the Northern Territory to Mossman in north-eastern Queensland – Also: occurring in southern New Guinea between Kikori River and Etna Bay.
