Order Anura; Family Myobatrachidae (Australian Toadlets); Scientific name: Pseudophryne occidentalis; Common name: Orange Crown Toadlet; Alternative common names: Granite Outcrop Toadlet, or Western Toadlet – Distribution in Australia: Western Australian endemic species occupying a vast area of Gascoyne, Midwest, Wheat-belt, Goldfields and South East Coastal Regions between Shark Bay in the north and Israelite Bay in the east; it is mainly associated with granite outcrops within this area – Photographed in September in Karara Rangelands east of Mullewa.
