(WA – Mount Ridley NR); Common name: Bee Fly – Male - Description: Thorax rimmed laterally and between scutellum with white, adpressed hairs, otherwise both thorax and scutellum unpatterned, covered with grizzled indumentum; collar dark brown dorsally lighter brown laterally; abdomen mostly covered with grizzled, adpressed hairs apart from two broad, white, transverse bars plus two narrower dark brown bars on the terminal third; facial hairs between eyes grizzled extending to the ocelli; wings clear - Distribution in Australia: Western Australia – Photographed: in December, in Mount Ridley Nature Reserve in the South East Coastal Region.
