(WA – Tathra NP); Common name: Bee Fly – Female - Description: Thorax rimmed laterally and between scutellum with a broad bar of white, adpressed hairs, otherwise both thorax and scutellum unpatterned, covered with grizzled indumentum; collar light brown dorsally white laterally; abdomen starting with a broad, two tergites wide, white bar, followed with similar size broad bar of grizzled adpressed hairs, then same sized white bar; the terminal third of the abdomen with grizzled and white narrower, poorly defined bars; facial hairs between eyes dark brown frontally, black dorsally; wings clear - Distribution in Australia: Western Australia – Photographed: in October, in Tathra National Park in the Midwest Region.
