Order Diptera; Suborder Brachycera; Family Apioceridae (Flower-loving Flies); Scientific name: Apiocera sp. aff. minor; Note: This Apiocera sp. aff. minor seems to be almost identical to Apiocera minor, but we could not identify it with enough certainty from the photographs alone;

Common name: Flower-loving Fly – Distribution in Australia: Western Australia – Photographed: in December in Dragon Rocks Nature Reserve south-east of Hyden.
