Class Arachnida; Order Araneae; Infraorder Araneomorphae; Family Araneidae (Orb-weavers); Scientific name: Argiope radon; Common name: St Andrew’s Cross Spider –Ventral view of a female wrapping up prey in her silk - Distribution in Australia: northern and eastern Australia between Kimberley Region of Western Australia, through the Top End of the Northern Territory, eastern Queensland and  north-eastern New South Wales, with couple records from further south – Also in Papua New Guinea, Fiji and islands of western Pacific – Photographed: in June, in Price Regent River Nature Reserve in Kimberley, Western Australia.
