Order Chiroptera; Family Vespertilionidae; Scientific name: Nyctophilus bifax; Common name: Eastern Long Eared Bat; Alternative common name: Queensland Long Ear Bat – Distribution in Australia: Found in the Pilbara & Kimberley Regions of Western Australia through the Top End of the Northern Territory to north-western Queensland and in eastern Queensland from the top of Cape York Peninsula south to north-eastern New South Wales.
