Australian Sea Lions and New Zealand Fur Seals

Order Carnivora (formerly Pinnipedia); Family Otariidae (Eared Seals); Scientific name: Neophoca cinerea & Arctocephalus forsteri; Common name: light brown = Australian Sea-lion – dark brown = New Zealand Fur Seal - Distribution in Australia: these two species are sympatric (co-occur) along southern coast of Australia between Augusta in Western Australia and Kangaroo Island in South Australia – Note: this is quite an unusual photograph, as these two species generally avoid encounters.
